The gender aspect of life and society did not stop for Jaleh at
the door of her medical office. She became the co-founder of GIF
(an independent women's organization in Vienna), she was the president
of IAEA Women's Forum for several years, and, is presently a board
member of the international network Women Without Borders.
Dr. Lackner-Gohari has always been engaged in active
promotion of physical and mental health. She was a co-founder of
the Vienna International Center Wellness Program, where she and
Janet Foerster first met professionally. In Bosnia & Herzegovina,
where consequences of trafficking of women were immediate and visible,
she designed and conducted HIV/AIDS prevention training for UN field
staff and actively supported local initiatives as a priority. Presently,
Jaleh is an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) expert in Vienna
in private practice.
